2 Halloween Parties 1 night

Normally when I’m set for 1 event at night, I stick to that one event but this night 2 people who always employ me needed me. This took place on OCT 29th a sat 2 days before another event I had to do, I'll leave that for another blog post so be on the lookout for that one as well. As a photographer you will find yourself in positions like this especially when you have a good business and personal relationship with your employer. So, if you're in this position map out a plan with both parties to come to an agreement of time frame flexible for them not yourself, if you can do it go with the plan. Keep in mind not every employer maybe ok with this however still give it a shot if you really want to do the other gig to.

Now going into the first gig I had for that night which was Izlas Latin Cuisine, this was my first Halloween event with them. When I first walked in around 7pm things started slow little that I knew things were going to get crazy around 8:30pm people were walking in back-to-back an I mean groups of people with very cool costumes. Fred the owner of Izlas kept telling me things get pretty wild fast when they have their Halloween parties, he wasn’t kidding because after a while I couldn’t move because to many people were coming into have some good food and a good time. The cool thing about the Halloween event they had was the costume contest. Since I’ve been working there for almost a half a year now, I see the people behind the bar and on the floor as my coworker's heck I even gotten to know some of them personally which I don’t really do when working at places. All of them were dressed up in the Halloween spirit giving great service along with posing for the camera and pulling me over to take pictures of them with customers. I love working the floor there the family vibes that place gives off makes me feel at home and needed even when I don’t speak at times. Once the clock hit 11:15pm had to make my way to my house down in south Philadelphia to drop off my dinner then off to Room 55 down Lansdowne which is 20mins from my house’s but almost an hour from Izlas.

When I made it there, I barely could move it was so many people there with some pretty cool costumes. Room 55 has always had a certain class of people to me, along with the food selection mind you it'spretty good. The cool thing is you can feel the black culture running through from inside to the outside, seeing a business booming with covid on the low makes being a business owner very happy. As the night was coming to an end things got crazy on the dance floor, people over took it dancing so free I had to get out of the crowed with my gear to get some shots. I saw a Wednesday Adams cutting up the dance floor knocking me to the side, almost forgot where I was at because the next step for me was cutting up the dance floor myself. In my opinion these 2 businesses are really fun and classy to be at, one is a Latin business and the second is a Black business both in their own right give you 2 different experiences along with food selection.

Well, I hope everyone enjoyed todays blog, if anyone is interested in checking any of these places out may that be having a family event or a party of your own check below for their info. Don’t forget to sign up for my newsletter to get ahold of my content and more lastly share my blog as well!
