I had an amazing experience learning how to use Gels in my study, working with gels has interesting steps you have to make when using them. I had my lovely subject Sierra helping me with this shoot, wearing her lovely outfit she bought from fashion Nova. When working with gels you need to shoot on a dark backdrop I used gray, then from there make sure your ISO is 100, F stop at 10, and lastly your shutter speed can be at 250 of a sec. The next step pick the gels you want for the shoot, place them into your softbox or reflector on your strobes. Note: make sure to face your key lights on subject away from the backdrop so you won't get spill light, have one light in back of the subject to use that as a backdrop light with a gel on it turning the color of the backdrop. Then you are ready to start shooting keep in mind you still can make adjustments, don't forget to check out the finished photos on my social media below!

If you would like a tour of the studio space feel free to contact me by email to setup a time and day for free, when picking a day to rent I will assist you on your shoot day as an assistant for free as well.
